Past Workshop
Explore what it's like to work onstage and behind the scenes of a Broadway musical. With the popular musical MATILDA as our guide, actors will explore character development, learn select songs from the show, choreography, audition techniques, costuming and much more. Every actor will be cast in 1-3 roles and perform in the Making a Musical Showcase for family & friends! This workshop takes a hands-on approach in applying acting techniques directly to the material, while developing confidence and connecting young performers through their love of theatre!
Dates: May 12 - June 7, 2020

A note from KOTA’s Founder & Artistic Director, Laura Luc:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, so much of the entertainment industry has closed its doors.
KOTA has decided to offer virtual workshops, in order for young actors to continue their training, connect with theatre friends, and do what they love the most — perform.
This workshop also allows KOTA to employ artists as teachers and special guests, since so many professionals are now out of work. Together, we will keep the arts thriving and help the industry bounce back.
A portion of the class tuition will be donated to healthcare workers, and students of healthcare workers will be offered a discount.
Thank you for supporting our small business and stay safe!
